Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:- Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government in 2015 had promised to set up an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the State of Kerala and if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government is aware that Thiruvananthapuram is an ideal site for AIIMS in light of its geographic position as well as the high number of other research institutes in the city and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has taken any specific steps to set up AIIMS in Kerala;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the time by which it is likely to be set up; and

(e) if not, the reasons therefor?
