(a) whether spectrum in 1800 MHz band auctioned in February, 2014 has not been allotted to the successful bidders, as yet;
(b) if so, the reasons therefor and its impact on rolling out the expected services;
(c) the number of slots currently available for bidding in the 1800 MHz (high-speed) spectrum band across States and UTs;
(d) whether the Government is taking measures to secure considerable slots in the high-speed spectrum band; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the measures being taken by the Government to ensure that there is not much escalation in the auction prices and subsequent benefit to the consumers? |

(a) & (b) Spectrum in 1800 MHz band auctioned in February 2014 has been allotted to successful bidders, who have applied along with the requisite documents. There is no impact on rolling out the expected services.
(c) to (e) The auction of spectrum in various bands is planned in the current financial year. The details of spectrum blocks to be auctioned, applicable reserve price and related issues are expected to be announced in due course. |
