(a) whether the Railways has decided to implement the Zero Accident Mission (ZAM) to meet the challenges of train accidents, safety in railways and deteriorating services;
(b) if so, the details thereof including the proposed time period for implementing ZAM;
(c) whether the Railways has chalked out specific projects under ZAM and made provisions for meeting the required expenditure and if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the Railways Kaya Kalp committee has expressed concern over vacancy in safety-related posts in the Railways and has called for the immediate implementation of ZAM; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Government to fill up these posts? |
