(a)Yes Sir, the Government is aware of observations of the Hon’ble Supreme Court on parading of elephants in religious ceremonies and festivals in the State of Kerala.
(b)&(c) At present there is no proposal to introduce a new legislation to regulate the engagement of elephants in religious ceremonies and festivals.
(d)& (e) The question does not arise. |
