Will the Minister of WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Indian Medical Association has urged the Government to make pre-natal sex determination compulsory to track female foeticide;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Government thereto;
(c) whether the Government has consulted the various stakeholders and reviewed Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994 before finalization of the proposal and if so the details thereof; and
(d) the time by which the final decision is likely to be taken in this regard? |
