Minister of State in the Ministry of CIVIL AVIATION
(Shri Jayant Sinha)
(a): At present, 59 airports are under the security cover of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
(b) to (e): The requirement of security is dynamic in nature and is periodically reviewed by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), the regulatory authority for civil aviation security in India, in consultation with the other concerned agencies including Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and airport operators, and corrective measures are taken. Due to the present security scenario and threat perceptions, the specific information regarding these aspects cannot be placed in the public domain.
