Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government is aware that Institutions of National Importance such as AIIMS, JIPMER etc. are exempt from the NEET and conduct their own stand alone entrance examinations, while some of these institutions offer examination centres across the country, others such as PGIMER, Chandigarh require students to travel to other locations of the institution to give the entrance examination putting students from distant States at a disadvantage and if so, the details thereof; 

(b) whether the Government is considering to ensure that these institutions open examination centres across the country for the benefit of students; 

(c) if so, the details thereof; and 

(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): Yes.
(b) to (d): PGIMER, Chandigarh conducts its own examination at Chandigarh only as opening of examination centres across the country depends upon various factors such as manpower, required infrastructure, including number of candidates per region.
