(a) whether the Railways propose to create a statutory Railway Safety Authority to monitor overall safety measures in the operating of Railways and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Railways have allocated separate funds for construction of railway overbridges and railway underbridges, if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Railways propose to consider the Members of Parliamentary Local Area Development (MPLAD) Funds to be used for the construction of overbridges/underbridges and if so, the time by which a decision is likely to be taken thereon; and
(d) the number of vacancies relating to safety vacant in different Zones of Railways at present and the measures taken to fill up such vacancies? |
