(a) to (c): Yes Madam, Government has received representations from Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) on the New Foreign Trade Policy for inclusion of countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, South Korea, main markets in Africa etc. under the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) for exports of cotton textiles. The Council has also represented for an increase in the rate of entitlement under MEIS from 2% to 3% for fabrics and 2% to 4% for made-ups.
