(a) whether it is a fact that according to a Gazette Notification (No. 25035/101/2014-RS) of the Government, standard operating procedures for examining Good Samaritans have to be developed within a time period of one month;
(b) if so, whether the Government has developed the required standard operating procedures;
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(d) whether the Government has taken any measures to ensure compliance of the Guidelines for the Protection of Good Samaritans by police departments in all the States; and
(e) if so, the details thereof? |

(a) to (e) : Yes Madam. The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has issued the Gazette Notification (No. 25035/101/2014-RS) through which States/UTs have been advised to develop standard operating procedures for the protection of Good Samaritans according to this Notification. Further, the State Governments/UT Administrations have been advised for taking appropriate action as per the guidelines issued by the above mentioned Gazette Notification. |
