Will the Minister of



WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:-


a) Whether the Government has taken note of the recommendations of the 12th Planning Commission (2012-17) report on Women’s Agency and Empowerment which identified the need to establish exclusive funds in each State/UT to rehabilitate victims of human trafficking;

b) if so, whether the Government has directed the States/UTs to establish a fund to rehabilitate victims of human trafficking;

c) if so, the details thereof indicating the response of the States/UTs thereto including the States/UTs which have not yet established the fund and the reasons therefor;

d) whether any private companies have contributed to the fund under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); and

e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (e):- Yes Madam. The recommendation of 12th Planning Commission (2012-17) report on Women Agency & Empowerment laid various recommendation on trafficking in Women & Children including provision of rescue & rehabilitation in a gender sensitive way and that state allocate Funds for more and better schemes for rehabilitating victims. However, the Planning Commission (Now Niti Aayog) has not made any specific recommendations to establish exclusive funds in each state/UT to rehabilitate victims of Human Trafficking.
