(a) whether the Government has recently conducted any study to examine the merits/demerits of smaller States including aspects such as administrative efficiency, resource utilisation and financial devolution;
(b) if so, the details and outcome thereof;
(c) whether the Government has any proposal to constitute a State Reorganisation Commission to review the merits/demerits of creating smaller States, examine proposals for bifurcation of States to improve governance and elaborate criteria to govern the future creation/bifurcation of States; and
(d) if so, the details thereof? |
